TopGear runs a Christmas Special every year, but it usually isn't around the actual Christmas time period. That may change this year, however, with the boys' Patagonia Special. Above is the first official trailer for the two-parter, which will air on BBC Two in the UK around Christmas.
For this year's special, Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May embark on a 1,600-mile journey across Patagonia (hence the name Patagonia Special) in three older sports cars, a Lotus Espirit, a Porsche 928, and a Ford Mustang.
It was supposed to end with a massive game of car soccer against the Argentinians, but as you may have heard, the three hosts and the show's crew were forced to flee out of Argentina after a group of citizens attacked them over license plates on Jeremy's Porsche. The plates read "H982 FKL," which the locals assumed was a deliberate reference to the 1982 Falklands War fought between the British and the Argentinians.
There's no word on when the somewhat controversial Patagonia Special will be available to watch in the United States. Stay tuned for more on that.
